The New Buzz Word is Consistency!
Yep, all the motivational speakers now days are really preaching consistency and why? Well because Consistency is key to any goal!
No matter what your goal is, if it’s to lose weight, get stronger, or maybe get out of debt, you cannot accomplish any of these things by being inconsistent! Think about it… are you going to lose weight by eating one salad a week? Or get stronger by doing one workout every other week? And quite frankly you are are “never” going to get out of debt if you only pay $10 over the minimum credit card payment a few times a year?
So you see, consistency really does matters.
Here’s Two Tips for Consistency!
1. Figure Out What Motivates You
and focus on it! Are you motivated by feeling more energized or being able to fit in your clothes? Or maybe you are just simply motivated by wanting to be able to stay in the upright position and get up off the floor by yourself! And when your consistency starts lacking, think about what motivates you. This puts purpose and meaning behind what you are trying to be consistent about!
2. When You Don’t Want To, Is When You Need To The Most
You need to realize that the days when you really don’t feel like doing the work to get towards your goal (like going to the gym) is when you really need to do it! And these are the days that you will feel so much better after you do the thing that you need to do. In this instance not only will you feel better physically but you will also reap the emotional benefits for doing what you needed to do even when you didn’t want to!
When you conquer consistency you are on the track for success!
